TBH, I wasn't expecting much. (Hey, I watched Carrie Underwood in The Sound of Music Live. I am not optimistic about TV musicals.) I was a little skeptical through the first hour or so, but it got better as it went on. (As did the cast.) I was very impressed! Especially with Elle McLemore as Patty, Keke Palmer as Marty, Jordan Fisher as Doody, and Aaron and Julianne were great as Danny and Sandy. Count me in for the re-runs.

I LOVED IT-Best Musical on TV yet IMO- of course its not the movie, but I would be upset if they copied everything..that would be a remake.

I love it

I didn't entirely love it, but I didn't hate it either. I wasn't really fussed to be honest. It was a great effort and the songs were performed really well and costumes were great! But, I don't know.. I just didn't think too much of it.

I actually really enjoyed it... which I was pleasantly surprised by! I looked at the cast list prior and saw the god-awful Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo so thought it was destined to be a failure of epic proportions simply based on that fact, but I was surprised at how well she acted the role. I think the whole cast did a good job. I've listened to "There Are Worse Things I Could Do" and "Freddy My Love" on repeat for the past week.

Loving these options, btw, haha.

Just did a rewatch. Didn't like it as much as the first time around, but Patty Simcox is still the MVP.
