The Heroes of Olympus Question

half-bloods can not read!!! am i the only one that's noticed this?

half-bloods are dyslexic right? so how come in the first book of the percy jackson series Percy says:

"Look, i didn't want to be a half-blood.
if you're reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is: close this book right now."

of coarse the reader wouldn't be a half-blood!!! if they were they couldn't be reading it! am i the only one who's noticed this???

HecateA said:
But if you get further into the book, you've got Annabeth who reads in both English and Ancient Greek.

And not all of them are dyslexic; Piper and Leo can read fine.

Also, I don't think the Roman half-bloods have trouble reading because the Romans used the Latin alphabet (a, b, c, d... like English and more) and a language that English (as well as several other languages) roots from.

And I know a dyslexic guys who reads manga, and a girl with a learning disability that reads a lot.

So maybe Percy's warning won't reach all the half-bloods out there, but those who for reason A or Z will pick up the novel, it works.

Maybe them too, but Piper, Leo and Jason had no problem with Medea's sign or anything else in the book.
