CHAPTER FOURTEEN
"Okay, that sucked," Janie said quietly, while studying her face in the mirror. (Hey, even if we don't act like our sisters, we still care that we look okay.)
"Ya think so?" I said.
"How are we going to find Eve?" She asked. "Elizabeth might've been a lead!"
I sighed, "Well, freaking out doesn't really help much, but I have an idea to where the heck she might be."
"Sure ya do!"
Carter's door opened, "Do you people ever sleep?"
"I'd love to say yes, but no." I smiled. "Go get Percy and tell him to pack up his stuff. We're leaving."
"Right now?" Janie and Carter asked at the same time.
"Yep."
I started to remember that dream about Kaela. I wondered if she really was at camp. Or if I'd see her fighting along side with Eve.
After getting ready and packing some un-expired food, left. Eventually, we stopped in a little place called I-don't-really-care-what-the-heck-it's-called-because-I-want-to-sleep.
Okay, you know that is not the name, but oh well.
Sleep came easily, well, until I heard Janie screaming.
"GUYS! WAKE UP!"
I heard swords clinging together and I realized what was going on.
Eve. And Kaela.
I fumbled around trying to get my sword, and once I did, I stood straight up.
"Want a piece of me cuz?" I asked Eve, "Cause' your gonna get it!" (Wow, who knew I was so capable of cheesey lines?)
"Kaela," Eve said slowly, a smile spreading across her face.
Kaela threw herself right at me, as I yelled, "PERCY! THE DUST!"
Okay, I was in trouble, because Percy was fighting two over-sized guys (they were like six foot seven!) "UM, KINDA BUSY!" He yelled back.
I'd have to fight my way around Kaela, because Percy's backpack was sitting on the ground.Behind her. Right behind her.
"Kaela," I said, "Listen to me. Stop this. Now. Stop this now."
She shook her head, "No."
And then I saw an opening. I lunged at her stomach, cutting her so deep, that the impact pushed her to the ground. I jumped over her to Percy's bag, grabbed the dust, and instead of pinching till perfect, I made a small hole in the bag while somehow climbing a tree.
I put my mouth up to the whole and blew. It sounded like someone really needed to fart at first. Then it looked like it was snowing gold.
Everyone with Eve started to shimmer in and out of veiw. Something black came out of Eve's mouth.
"Okay, eww." Janie said.
Eve stumbled backwards, then fell to the ground.
Kaela gasped, and rolled over, looking right at me. And then she went limp.
The two dudes disapeared.
"Wow, that was kind of fun." I said.
Next part will probably be the last part before my next fanfic :)
