Some people say that if the hunger games was a movie it would suck.

Well they can show how Haymitch tells her to act like shes in love with Peeta. But they would have to make the movie exactly like the book to make it good.

Well, you know the movie Bolt by Disney?! Well,I was soo CONFUSED on what was the movie and what wasn't. If The audience is smart enough, they will be able to figure it out..if not, they should get their lazy butts up to the library and read it, then they could figure it out.

I say that it will be difficult to do the movie and making it like the book and trying to show what Katniss is feeling. I just hope that the movie doesn't suck or else I'm going to be really disappointed and very angry with the people who made the movie.

well, for 1 thing, suzanne collins would have to choose the perfect girl to play for katniss, so she could really show her emotions without you having the book stuck in your face the whole movie. and a good peeta, who should be open about his feelings. the cave part should be pretty close to how the book says it. and with a good katniss, you won't need the book to figure out that she imagines haymitch telling her how to act. with good actors, the movie won't be crappy.

Well i think that in order to make the movie good they would have to really pay attention to detail and use the book as there bible but i here that Suzanne Collins is writting the screen play her self and in that case it should be good. They would also have to make the movie in Katniss point of view like the book because twilight was in Bella's point of view and they made the movie not. so it all depends but i think any book into movie is never as good as the movie.

Well, if you think about it, it was the same thing with Twilight. You would have had to read the book first to FULLY understand it, but people who hadn't read the book yet could understand it. This is because the movie makers MADE it that way; so that those other people who never read the book could understand it. I'm sure that whoever makes Hunger Games alive on the big screen will have the same intentions.

if the hunger games became a movie some parts would be hard to do. but they do have those visual effects and things like that. but anyways i think it would be a rockin movie i would see it but im afraid it wont be like the book.

The movie would not suck. It will just be slightly different but it won't suck. Most books that are turned in to movies are great like Harry Potter. The Hunger Games is also a great book so it will obviously become a great movie! PS PEETA ROCKS

The whole time that I was reading the book, i thought that it would be one of the most amazing movies ever, because of all the action. I could visualize everything in my head, and i think that Collins is a great author. But I'm afraid that the movie won't be like how I imagined it. Sometimes you have to realize that no matter what, everybody can't be happy. I think that there should definitely be a movie, and however they do it will be awesome because the basic story IS awesome!!!!

haha i thought of something smart and bizar!!! well i was thinking the other day all the trailers have like normal real people but suzanne collins did her characters in fictional characters which is stupid coz the directors might put that as the actual movie fictional characters would ruin it what do u guys think?? xx

Normally movies don't match the books very well, But I am more of a book person than a movie person I hope it turns out well.In the Harry Potter movies, to match up it went from okay to awful.So lets hope these movies match up!

Well, that's true, I mean, it would be pretty hard to follow with her emotions and everything and it would be MUCH, MUCH easier if you read the book first. But I don't think it would suck! I mean, it would be a great movie for those who did actually read the book, and maybe some people who didn't would follow it. We never know, let's just wait until it comes out! Woo-hoo! :D

Most book movies are crappy because most directors and actors don't know how to truly put the plot and characters on to screen.
So it is hard to make a book into a good movie, but if done correctly with using the right techniques and style, then the movie can be good.

Like with twilight, it really sucked because the directors and some of the actors style didn't fit the style of twilight. But if they would have chosen a different director and different actors, then maybe the movie would have been ok.

hmmm...i want a movie but at the same time i dont. cuz like i used to be obsessed with percy jacskon and the olympians (i stil am with the books) and the movie was the hugest disappointment ever! i think that they could be showing her emotions by having Katniss's voice narrate from the outside too.

I'm on the fence. If the movie is a success and sticks to the book I'll try it, but if if deviates from the plot [................I'll see it-only way I'd figure-duh] However I already have my hopes up high. I was sad when I saw Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse. I'm sure Harry Potter Fan(atics)feel the same. I was disappointed with Inkheart too, after waiting over a year to see it TwT. Pwease don't ruin it.

the only thing is that you will actually be able to watch rue die and you can actually (hopefully) see the mutts devour cato in 3D and feel all tingly when katniss and peeta put on a show (literally).

Well, the movie COULD be horrible - to us. Because we love them so much, even if it WAS good, it might not live up to our expectations. As for the conflicting emotions, they could always have a VoiceOver as in Twilight, but we all know that it won't quite be the same as reading the book. But no matter what, as with the Harry Potter books, those of us that have READ the books will either have the advantage or disadvantage of knowing what happened in the book.

for me a good movie involves shocks and action and this book has unlike all the other crappy movies this movie should be a great one and clear your calenders for March 23 and get tickets now cause that place i going to be packed it shouldnt be confusing at all cause they have a great cast TEAM RUE!!!!!

First off, she never really loves Peeta. She's just resigned to him because he's the only one that's blind enough to put with her crap.

And people are right, this will be a bad movie. The books are entirely made up of Katniss's inner monologue and that will be hard to convey in a meaningful way.

I watched the first two films before I read the series, and I could understand about her faked emotions slowly becoming real. Good acting, and some explanation in the dialogue and plot, can convey that clearly enough without needing to spell it out.
