Katniss or Rue?

Hi Everyone!

Ok, I have a delimma, I was talking to my friends and I told them I wanted to audition for the hunger games, they asked which part and I told them I can only qualify for Rue, because my skin is not exacty olive. THey thought about it and told me they think that I should play Katniss, though I don't look exactly like her. THey said quote, "Rue is too easy for you and you can act socialy akward and like everything else Katniss is and you may make it. Just try, and don't give up." Now I come to you. Should I play as Katniss or Rue.

brown and dark brown hair, brown eyes 9looks light brown in light and hazel in distance, looks mature for age(I've never looked younger than I am and currently, people think i'm late fifteen early sixteen) has acting training, but no acting expirience.
