The Hunger Games Question

My friend spoiled a bit of The Hunger Games…and I was shocked at what she said. Is it true that Prim dies? If she actually does, in which book is it in?? Please tell me..I'm kinda desperate...

She dies in the third book, Mockingjay. Near the president's mansion (I think), there were children who were getting silver parachutes from an air craft. What they didn't expect was that they would explode. As a result, children died and some were injured. Prim, who was at the scene, went in to help the injured children. Unexpectedly, more of the silver parachutes exploded, which resulted in Prim's death. It was really sad. :(
