Where do you think the song "Safe and Sound" by Taylor Swift, will be played in the movie? SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T READ BOOK ONE YET

well actually i don't think it will be there but if you haven't heard jennifer lawrence is performing rue lullaby so it probably wont be placed there i was thinking that maybe when she is nursing peeta or maybe when they are kissing but i also heard that they are doing a song called you and me or something like that when they kiss idk. but it would be perfect anywhere i love that song

I'm pretty sure it's not going to be in the movie at all, because it's just a companion album to the movie, not an actual soundtrack. To be honest, I hope they don't include any songs with lyrics in the movie because it will just distract from it. I think it would be a lot more emotional with just an instrumental soundtrack.

It would be a great song for the credits. Which is where I hope it will be.

Definately the part where Rue dies but some people on youtube were arguing by saying that it should be at the part where Katniss has to give Peeta the sleep medicine. I disagree the song sounds so FINAL and after Rue dies she dies no coming back...

i think it will be in a moment between katniss and prim. i just imagine katniss trying to protect prim everytime i hear it. maybe as katniss is volunteering for prim and prim gets taken away and shes crying and screaming... maybe...

It could be when Katniss is putting flowers on Rue but Katniss would have just finish singing Rues lullaby so it could seem kind of wierd. im thinking either that, when shes in the cave with Peeta, or in the end credits :)

I think that it'll either play over the end credits, or possibly while Katniss and Peeta are traveling to the Capitol. I can just picture her looking out of the window into the sunset right after the reaping and this song playing. If this happened I think I'd start sobbing.

I really think "safe and sound" will be played when rue dies because in the song it says "no one can hurt you now"...it will either be played then or when peeta and katniss are in the cave.

I don't know the song but maybe just after when rue is taken away by a hovercraft. Katniss sits there a few meters away or something.

I think safe and sound should be when their in the cave and katniss is nursing peeta and when they kiss for the first time I also think it should play right after she finds him

i think it should be after she sings to rue, because after that whole scene Katniss goes through a time where she is slightly lost, and has a hard time excepting Rue's death. She evens says to a mockingjay that rue is "safe now"

i dont't think it will be with rues dying scene, but i honestly believe that it is about rue and katniss when rue is asking her to not leave her and to sing for her.

I REALLY hope it isn't going to be played in the actual movie. I mean, maybe in the credits, but not during the actual film.
And I disagree about the Rue's death bit....I mean, she's DYING....not going someplace safe.... And that's where Katniss sings to Rue...they're not going to put some other song in there...unless they want to get killed by the fans, that is...

I mean, the song is okay for a Taylor Swift song, but I don't see it as belonging in the movie anywhere. I agree that with a movie like the Hunger Games, songs with Lyrics don't really belong. I think it kind of describes certain parts of the Hunger Games, but I don't see it as a movie song. But I think it would be fine to play during the credits.

I reckon in the credits it would be perfect played there.

Probably when Katniss is covering Rue with flowers or the Katniss and Peeta cave scene.
