The Hunger Games Question

BOOK 1 SPOILER When Rue dies, after Katniss sings to her, what does she say?

Katniss, I mean. I remember her saying "bye, Rue." Anyone else find that kinda depressing? I mean, her ally is dead and all she can say is "bye"? No words of meaning, sentimentally? And I know that she liked Rue, so I think she deserved more justice than a lullaby that she died to and "bye". I haven't read books two or three yet so no spoilers, PLEASE!! I can't stand spoilers!

Well, she presses her fingers to her mouth and holds out to Rue. I find this act very touching in my opinon. Katniss was very sad and very angry, I guess she couldn't put her feelings into words at that moment. And don't forget the flowers!
