The Hunger Games Question

How do you describe Katniss's personality?

Katniss seems to have two sides to her personality. A caring, loving, nurturing side we see when she is with Prim or Peeta. Or, there's the violent, sort of defiant side we see in the arena and sometimes in the woods with Gale.

But other times she gets into her "I want to kill you all" mode. She's also rather judgmental of people's mistakes.
