The Hunger Games Question

Did Peeta said he had a crush on Katniss just for show or is everything he said real?

For example, he knew what she wore on the first day of school and he risked a beating just so he can give her a bread. I am so confused? (Hunger Games) Though I know that they will end up with each other, I just wanna know the truth from you, my fellow TRIBUTES!!!

Yes, I believe that everything Peeta said during the interviews, or anything in the arena, was totally and completely true and genuine. It was just altered a bit, which is considerable when you think that they had to keep up the "act" though, peeta had no idea that it WAS an act. For katniss, it was. And you can tell, sometimes katniss mentions that she can't tell if peeta is being truthful, or if he is just a REALLY GOOD actor. And I think when she tells him she truly thinks that he is not in love with her. But she realizes that he is when he flips out on her. Then she knows the magnitude of what she had just done. So, of corse I think that all those things he said are genuine, because he is OBVIOUSLY in love with katniss and would do ANYTHING to save her.

Katniss doesn't know that Peeta's love for her is real but IT IS!!

SPOILER MOCKINGJAY:

One of the main quotes from Mockingjay is " You love me real or not real? Real!"

Yeah, he was telling the truth. I think that at first Katniss thinks that he is just saying it for the audience, but he wasn't.

He was telling the truth, though Katniss didn't know.

Spoiler
Like at the end of the first book, he was hurt when she told him all she did was mostly an act. Or In the second book when he says something like "you love me real or not real"

If anybody thinks it was all for show, your opinion sucks. He loved her and that is the truth, period. Love it!!!!!! <3 OH! And that video on The Hunger Games club videos, it shows them after they held hands on the chariot and if you see the look on his face, you can totally tell!

It was true, but I think revealing it was a bit of a tactical decision.
