The Hunger Games
answer this question
The Hunger Games Question
What are your favorite quotes in any of the books?
These are my FAVORITE two parts of any of the Hunger Games books.
He tilts his forehead down to rest against mine and pulls me closer. His skin, his whole being, radiates heat from being so near the fire, and I close my eyes, soaking in his warmth. I breathe in the smell of the snow-dampened leather, and smoke and apples, the smell of all those wintery days we shared before the Games. I don't try to move away. Why should I, anyway? His voice drops to a whisper.
"I love you"
That's why.
What I need to survive is not Gale's fire, kindled withi rage and hatred. I have plenty of fire myself. What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That things can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that.
So after, when he whispers,
"You love me. Real or not real?"
I tell him, "Real"
