Who do you think deserves Katniss? Gale or Peeta?

Katniss and Gale make a good couple because they have things in common, but I think Gale is a bit too hard for Katniss. Katniss has her weak side while Gale is tough and rages on about the Capitol. Katniss and Peeta make a good couple because Peeta can comfort Katniss and he liked her for a long time. Yet Peeta is a bit too soft for Katniss because of his "weakness for beauty," as Katniss calls it. I'd say both of them do, but I thought Katniss and Peeta had a bit more chemistry.

I have always been a Gale fan, and I think Gale deserves her because he loved her, and he did have her first, and watching Peeta steal his girl on live television? ouch. It would break anyones heart to see her go along with it to, Gale was there first..

This is hard to answer. I would personally choose Peeta. If he hadn't been in the Hunger Games with Katniss, she might not be alive. Think about how many times he sacrificed himself for her well-being. But then I think that Gale would do the same if he would have been in Peeta's position. But Gale also had the opportunity to volunteer in place of Peeta. Honestly, I am kind of surprised that he didn't step forward for the protection of Katniss. Maybe he didn't volunteer in order to protect their families while she was competing. I will never know. Overall, I choose Peeta because he was there for Katniss when Gale couldn't be there.

I think Gale has always been there for Katniss and her family. Peeta has just been stalking her, and in the books he admits he would!!! I just think that, yes, Gale and Katniss have more in common.
I used to HATE Peeta, but Josh Hutcherson playing him in the movie definitely made me like him a little more. Not enough to switch to Team Peeta though!!! XD
Plus, in my opinion, Peeta is kind of a wimp (I think the only reason he won the first Games was because of Katniss. He would be dead without her) because he couldn't take care of himself. He should never have gone with the Careers. If not though Katniss would be dead as well because when she dropped the tracker jacker nest Peeta helped her get away, and yeah.
But in the 75th Hunger Games as well I feel the whole "Weak bread boy" showed up again. Plus the whole "Oh yeah guys, Katniss is having a baby" part really got me upset, and the way he played the cameras with that topic was just... insulting to Katniss, in my opinion. They did go through a lot together though, but I would think that since they did go through so much together their relationship would get more brother/sister than boyfriend/girlfriend. But it obviously didn't feel that way with Katniss.

Gale is a great idea BUT he's exactly like Katniss. Like she says in the end, she needs hope and that's what Peeta has given her since the beginning. Gale is nice but so angry, he will always be fighting. After the games, that's not what Katniss needs. Peeta is Sunshine

I'm a Peeta-Katniss fan but it would be sad for Gale ):

Peeta. When I first read the books I thought Gale, because he and Katniss have known each other for a while. But after thinking about it, Peeta is better for Katniss for several reasons.
My first reason is because he was with her through the Games! Peeta loved Katniss through the entire Games. Katniss will always have memories of the Games and if she was with Gale she could explain her feelings to him but he wouldn’t completely understand.
This also, brings me to reason number two. Understanding. In Mockingjay Gale blocks Katniss out when she tries to talk about how it feels after killing someone.
"That doesn't seem very fair to the deer." (Katniss)
"Wouldn't be using it on deer, would I?" he answers (Gale)
.......
"So it would be easy on you to use that on people?"
"I didn't say that..."
I know Gale is not saying it would be easy to use this on people, it's just he seems so naive about the aftermath of killing someone.
Also, Gale does not treat the people in the Capitol like people. Sure they enjoy watching tributes die but they don't know any better. When Katniss tries to explain to Gale tries to understand. I’m glad he does because before and a few times later, he makes many assumptions about Capitol people.
I just think Peeta and Katniss have many of the same opinions and feelings about people, death, and the Games. Since they understand each other they should be together.

***Before commenting or anything I would just like to add this is my opinion not fact. I have nothing against the character Gale I’m just saying he is indifferent to Katniss in many ways and I think Peeta is better for her.***

I think Peeta deserves Katniss way more than Gale. I mean, sure Katniss and Gale have been best friends for years, but Peeta genuinely loved her from the start. In the Games, Peeta joined a bunch of ruthless coldblooded murders that could kill him a anytime. FOR KATNISS! Gale was angry with her when she got home from the Games. It wasn't her fault. Peeta was romantic and wouldn't let Katniss save his life because she could get hurt. and lets not forget that he left her in the end and went to District 2.

I think peeta is something different for Katniss.Gale is too much like Katniss and that gets in the way most of the time.

I think that Katniss and Peeta are good together because when she has nightmares Peeta comforts her.

I think Peeta deserves her, but Gale has a little part in it. Gale did a lot of things for her because it's what she wanted. As did Peeta, he just showed kindness and well it's Peeta he's more appealing than Gale in many ways. I'm team Gale but Peeta deserves her and she deserves him

I would say Peeta.
Cuz first of all, Peeta helped katniss survive the 74th hunger games and gale didn't volunteer to be the other tribute.
(SPOILER ALERT) Later, gale said that he started to love katnis like during new years, Peeta said he loved her since he was like 5. So yeah, Peeta.

Well even though it looks like it should be Gale because he has always been there, it shouldn't because he is more like a brother and has dated many different girls but Peeta has loved him since kindergarten and has loved her ONLY .

P.S.- peeta loved her pretty much for forever but gale realizes he does a few months before the hunger games.

I think Peeta because he was seen as a lover figure the entire time she knew him, except for the bread story, while Gale was her best friend the entire time. Gale was her friend and Peeta was her boyfriend. And I agree Gale and Katniss had more in common, but they had a while to date, and they just never did.

Hmmm....well I'm in the middle..cuz ur right! Gale and catnip had a lot in common...but having toooo much in common hurts a relationship..but peeta is not exactly like her.when ever she felt hurt in mockingjay, he knows how to make her feel better. He opens her sweet side. Gale was just over protected in mockingjay...so here ...the winner is peeta!!!!

Gale and Katniss make a really great pair..there's lots of fire there.. But like Katniss herself analyzed, what she needs is not Gale's fire, but Peeta's dandelion...
Katniss is a really negative personality, really dark...which is where all her emotions come from.. And so she needs someone like Peeta, who's going to serve as the ray of sunshine in her life... That's why I think Peeta

Peeta, because of how Gale turns out in Mockingjay. Not just one coincidence of his actions in particular, but the actions themselves.

In Hunger Games and Catching Fire, I would say Peeta.Peeta saved Katniss' life and he went through the games with her. However, in Mockingjay, I would choose Gale, because Peeta tried to kill Katniss.
