Well first peeta lives in all the books!
The movie was great exept it took some scenes out of the movie.
And there are three books becuase book one they r in the games book 2 they are in the quarter quill for some reason and third book is a war of freedom !

If you're not the person who asked this question, dont read this answer if you haven't finished the book. There are three books. The last movie is likely to be split into two parts. Peeta does not die. In the second book they have to go back into the Games. In the third book... I cant tell you what happens!

The movies pretty good. Peeta lives. In the second book, they go back into the hunger games. The third book I won't spoil for you

There are three books because there is SOOOO much more to go into once the games are over. And no, Peeta doesn't die. The movie was great. I'm not saying anymore because I don't want to spoil it

If you read all three books and/or see the movies when they come out then you will see why the books continue :)

There r 3 books cuz the first one is about Katniss's first time in the arena and Peeta does live, the second book is about Katniss and Peeta and its also about Katniss getting back into the arena, and the third book is about getting Peeta back from the Capital and it is also about Katniss taking down the Capital and President Snow. And there r 4 movies cuz they split the 3rd book.

I dont want to spoile it but nither katniss nor peeta die and theres a surpise in every book the movie was good but it could have been better oh and 4 the person who posted the question team peeta or team gale?????
