tell her it is not completly about people killing people. its the government and how it forced down these rules so the citizens really hav no choice

Just tell them that its a fictional book and give them reasons about how you think you are mature enough to read the books. This could be a bad idea but im just thinking....maybe you guys could read the books at the same time but on your own cuz then when yr done reading a chapter or whatever you guys could talk about whats going on in the book! But i think yr parents are being very unreasonable. Hopes this helps!

Tell her it's unrealistic, it's fiction. I mean, it could happen, but really? Tell her how good the books are supposed to be! If she still doesn't want you reading them, then you could be a good child and not or borrow them from a friend or something...

Tell her about the political stuff in the book because hey, parents like the government and rules!!!!

Tell her that it's not real and that u are mature enough to read the hunger games series

Tell her that its more than just people killing each other that its about love and bravery and if u have younger sister tell herabout how katniss volunteered fir her sister and all about her being very mature at a young age pretty much point out all he good things
