It doesn't mention that in the book or the movie, but in the movie there isn't even a thunder storm. I know that Thresh dies sometime between when Katniss and Peeta leave the cave and when they meet up with Cato on the cornucopia. SoThresh could have died during that time. I don't recall either the book or the movie specifying how Thresh died. You're welcome! :)
