wait so....

the Quell, only one can win right?

also if Peeta got taken by the capitols does that mean Katniss can win the hunger games and still retrieve Peeta and wont end up killing Peeta to win the hunger games.

Or can two win for The Quell and once she retreives Peeta (in the third book) they will BOTH be able to live?

Uh, I don't think anyone won the Quell. I think when they destroyed the forcefield and retrieved Kat and Volts that kind of negated the Hunger Games, especially since the Capitol has a full-on revolution on their hands. That's why they destroyed District 12 as soon as it happened.

And I don't think the Capitol has any intention of letting Katniss live if they can help it. President Snow's been after her blood since the tour and with her being the icon of the uprisings he strategically can't afford not to kill her.

As for his plans for Peeta... I doubt he'll be letting Mr. Mellark just go free.

Because he lied to her about protecting Peeta, about trying to keep him alive instead of her. And then they didn't rescue Peeta either, they let the Capitol get him. (Not that they intentionally let Peeta get captured, they just made rescuing Katniss the priority and Peeta got left behind.)

Yes,only one can win but since peeta got taken along with all the games players and katniss got taken by Haymitches hover craft along with Beetee the quell got cacelled. But the capitol wont resume the quell in the next book they will go at war with district 13.

Well yeah I don't think the games are really on their minds anymore lol. They have much more important things to accomplish like fighting the uprising.
