The Hunger Games Question

Do you think the Hunger Games movie will be any good? Or should there just not be a movie at all?

Personally, I think they should not make a movie at all because it would just mess up the whole series. The Hunger Games is a great book and it's one of my favorites and I couldn't stand watching it get ruined. Not to make comparisons, but look at what happened with Twilight..I mean the books weren't great but the movies just really really screwed it over. Besides, they wouldn't capture the essence of it because it's all told from Katniss's point of view and when reading it, you get to really feel the emotion. Anyways that's just my opinion but if the movie does follow out, hopefully it will be good.

there are some points in the book when Katniss's thoughts seem to be very important and there's not really a way to capture those through film unless they made a first person movie, which would be kinda lame. i think there should be a movie though, just don't go into it expecting it to be anywhere near as good as the books though.

Good books are always massacred by the big screen because of a lot of reasons like poor production, bad script and actors and limited time. If they can pull of a really close-to-the-real-thing movie and convince us fans that they haven't cut off the important parts of the story (which I undoubtedly believe they will), then I can always hope for the best. However the movie comes out, we can all argue that it came from a REALLY good book.

I think that with Suzanne Collins making the screenplay, it has potential.
