Hey, I just saw the movie for the 3rd time, and I just realized that I don't think they actually mention Effie by name. Everyone whose read the books will of course know who she is, but everyone else would just see her as a mad women in pink.. Did anyone notice if they do actually mention her name?

Okay I'm starting something called The Writing Games
The rules of the Writers games are that the first 24 people to join the club will be in the games. The first thing you'll have to do when you join is post a piece of writing that you have written. Once all 24 pieces are in me and lucky seven people will judge the writings and decide who lives and who dies! and You must use your own writing!
I will need 23 people now and 7 more judges so who's in?

Why are people so RACISTS about RUE?It's all over the Enternet that people were saying why did a BLACK girl have to play that part...IDK if it's true 'cause i haven't watched the movie yet but ppl are saying all around at my school..they said that MOST of the ppl who watched the movie would be all mad/upset that Rue was black... -__- that's just so racists!!
And one more thing...Is Rue really played by a black girl..'Cuase if she was that would just be so racsits!.......

Wait, what do you mean "Is Rue really played by a black girl?" Cause yeah.... she is. haha But anyway, yeah I agree. I think Amandla was perfect for the part and she seriously like "became" Rue. I wasn't even paying attention to her skin color throughout the film... she was just "Rue". And people saying stuff like that... are just ridiculous. :Pover a year ago
because Rue is....rue!She's simple. what's not to like her? I mean who would picture a tribute from an Agriculture District looking so fabulous. Rue is SIMPLE and that's how we like her :Dover a year ago

I know right? It annoys me so much that people complain about them being black. Who cares? Like you said, it clearly states that they are in the books.. and plus, even if it didn't why would it matter? Some people are so ridiculous.over a year ago
ok, so now they're saying Jennifer has too much baby fat!?!?! These critics really need lay off of someone who actually looks healthy!

they were saying how she her body is to womanly for the role. and she even said "it's not threatening when someone who looks like kate moss is coming at you with a bow and arrow". i think she looks perfect!over a year ago
Gah, what is wrong with people? They whine about the skin color of the actors, they whine about the weight of the actors. I mean, they do realize that these actors are actual human beings, right? It's just ironic to me that the entire point of the series is to show what can happen if people lose respect and compassion for one another and all these whiny "fans" are showing the exact same attitude that causes the problems in the books/movies. It's just a really sad commentary on humanity that people can be so cruel and petty.over a year ago

It makes me sick to my stomach that some fans r mad that Rue ,Thresh, and Cinna are black and that some fans thought it would've been better if they were lighter, even though it clearly says Rue and Thresh were dark skinned. Didn't expect so many Hunger Games fans to care about there favorite characters skin color!

i know! i was surprised that they picked Lenny as Cinna, but it for Rue and Thresh they went by the book, cause it clearly says they were dark skinned.over a year ago

WHo feels bad for Katniss in Mockingjay about Peeta!

I was thinking about something from the books and I wanted to write about it here.
I know that the 75th hunger games were a way to get back at Katniss, but I cant help wondering what they would have done if Katniss had lost and using previous victors had been the real plan, because if Katniss had lost then district 12 wouldnt have a living female victor, so who would they have used? I mean, what if all of the districts didnt have a living female and male victor?
Posted over a year ago
Yeah, right. But it was all done on purpose by Snow so obviously it wouldn't happen if Katniss hadn't broke the rules and win the Games with Peeta.over a year ago
Just saw the movie...WOW. I almost cried a few times! It was REALLY good!
Some of the changes from the book I didn't like, but overall, great film.

I hate to sound like a hipster, but I read this series a couple of years ago, and now, it seems it's getting WAAAY more attention (Which is good, it's an AMAZING series, and a really impressive movie!) than Gregor the Overland, which in my opinion is better. But w00t for The Hunger Games!

I just came back from watching the movie with my friends. I liked it a lot, but I expected it to be better. It was definitely a little over rated. Awesome movie though, very scary, funny, and sad. (And romantic.)
