how do you get past the begining part in lord jabujabu's mouth with no slingshot ammo?

Have your shield ready and wait for one of those purple octopuses to surface. When it fires a nut, use Z-targeting on Lord Jabu Jabu's uvula. The nut will fly up there and open up the "closed door".
