At the time, they were the best graphics. It had an excellent story line, extemely hard puzzles (maybe the hardest game ever made), fun action, and great items. Bad parts: annoying owl, annoying navi, the little medallions you get don't help you in anyway, and the zoras never get unfrozen. But it's truly as close to perfect that any game has gotten. I think it's still considered the best game of all time, it might be second by now, but I'm pretty sure it's still best of all time.

I thought they unfroze after the Water Temple?

They do-- and the medallions you speak of, which I'm assuming is the power of the sages after you beat each temple in the second act, are a symbol that you completed the temple. Without all of them, you couldn't have built the rainbow bridge to get into Gannon's castle. It's kind of like the stars in Mario 64. They're keys to advancing to the next stage, and that's what the medallions were for. Although, I do agree that the owl pissed me off quite frequently.

One time at the lake during night, I didn't know the owl was there, and when it asked if I wanted to go wherever, it spooked me soooooo bad!... I thought it was one of those skeleton things from the first round, or a glitched ReDead.

Well I'm not so sure what everyone else sees in the game, but I loved it because it had an awesome storyline and gameplay, it took a while to complete (thats a plus in my book, wouldn't want to finish it all in a day), the graphics were excellent (for it's time) and just allround awesomeness. I really don't know what makes it so good.

For me...

I first of all like Ocarina of Time because of it's story, which is extremely amazingly written. I love the characters special personalities. I love the emotions you'll feel during the game. I love the extremely beautiful songs you'll play during the game. I love all the hard AND entertaining puzzles, which are extremely hard, but you'll feel so proud when you accomplish them, because you'll think alot about how to deal with them. I love how the game requires you have a brain (You really have to be good tactic and solving difficult problems to win this game). I loved the graphics (They were AMAZING in the past. But that doesn't mean they're ugly now, I still think they're beautiful!). I loved the side-games (all the 1.000.000 different things you can do in that game!). The possibilities are eternal!

That's why I love the game. =D

Its one of those games you can have hours of fun just by wandering around trying to find stuff.

Almost no nearly empty filler areas that are only there to make it take longer to travel.

It has some of the best video game music ever made.

Gannondorf's laugh is reason alone ^_^

I still dont know why the boss of the Shadow Temple is the hardest boss in the game.

I like the part before the ""final" battle where he is playing the piano.

Shadow temple is da hardest because if you run out of arrows, it is over.

The shadow temple is the easiest to me. Bongo Bongo is pathetic. you can find arrows in there (I think) Just shoot two times use the eye of truth shoot the big body part and jump slash. I like the piano part too.

It's one of the best because there are a whole lot of challenging puzzles and dungeons. plus you can rebattle bosses. and the mask dude from mm is there and you buy masks. plus there is mario in it. See if you can find that! You can experiment on the ocarina. ride epona and sell ghosts. Change your tunic your sword your shield. kill golden spiders. sing to cows and they give you milk. Two links twice as fun!Whats not good?
