I prefer Hand-drawn Animation by a long shot! But I admit that CGI Animation can be just as good, or maybe even better, but I personally prefer 2D Hand-drawn Animation.

By faaaaaaaaaar! CGI doesn't look "real" to me for some reason. Hand-drawn animantion on the other hand is pure magic and beautiful to watch!

Hand drawn for sure. I don't mind CGI though.

Hand drawn is the best especially in the classic movies.

I really think it depends on the movie, and personally I've never cared about animation.

I respect all forms of animation, because I'm an animator myself and I understand that a heck of a lot of time and effort has to go into each technique. The worst thing is when people assume that any form of animation is "all done by computers". O.Ov

But my personal preference is 2D. I love to see drawings being brought to life. When it comes to Disney Studios especially, they still seem to be much better at hand drawn animation than at CGI, although they are definitely improving the quality of their 3D animation work and have picked up some amazing tricks when adding special effects (like the ice "wand" animators used to create certain special effects in Frozen).

Pixar have always produced top notch CGI animation. When it comes to quality, they always seem to be a step or two ahead of the rest of the 3D animation industry.
